Equus Workforce Solutions (formerly ResCare Workforce Services)

Equus serves 16 – 24 year olds in Pierce County, with priority to low-income, disabled, homeless, drop-out, single parent, IEP. Equus provides Transportation, GED, work and interview clothes, resume writing, individualized goals and resources, and more. Free on the job training, education, support services, case management and employment preparation.

Every Kids Outdoors

Provides free passes to 4th graders and their families to access federal parks and lands.

Exodus Counseling & Treatment Services

We serve adults and adolescents. We provide marriage & family,OCD,PTSD, addiction, mental health, court ordered and voluntary treatment, and life coaching. Some insurance is accepted and income sensitive

Exodus Housing

We serve homeless families with children who have been impacted by domestic violence. We provide permanent housing, tailored strength-based emokowerment model of case management and family renewal services.

Faith in Action Team

Faith in Action serves the elderly, those in financial need and those with health problems by providing house, yard and gutter cleaning, car oil changes, pet sitting and groceries.

Family Health Hotline

Our 800 number is the Help Me Grow Washington Hotline We can help you understand and apply for a variety of food and health resources in Washington state, including: WIC (Women, Infants & Children Nutrition Program), Basic Food (Food banks), Health insurance for children pregnant women and adults, Birth control through the Take Charge Program, Health and family planning clinics, Developmental screenings, Pregnancy and baby supplies, Breastfeeding support, Food Banks, and much more.

First Time Home Buyer Assistance Program for Pierce County

To be eligible for this program, the individual must live in Pierce County but outside the city limits of Tacoma, Bonney Lake, and Lakewood and meet Federal guidelines for household income. The program makes funding available to assist first-time home buying by lower-income households that qualify for a mortgage but lack resources for the down payment.

Food Assistance

Food Card Class Online, Tacoma Pierce County Health Department

The Food Card Class training program covers the safe preparation and handling of food. When you complete this course, you can purchase and print a Washington State Food Worker Card.
