Care Van, Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation

We serve anyone who lives in the areas of Buckley, Carbonado, Wilkeson, & Enumclaw who displays hardship for transportation. We provide transportation to appointments and medical-related issues only (non-emergency appointments, physical therapy, eye exams, chiropractic, prescription pick-up, etc.) at no cost. We are available Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm and Tuesdays/Thrusdays 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. Wheelchair accessible. Call 2-14 days in advance of the appointment.

Career & Education (Adult Learning Center) Online

Through the Pierce County Library, you can access the Polaris Catalog that allows you (with library card and login, see www.PierceCountyLibrary.org) to read lessons, watch videos, take tests on a variety of subjects including computers & technology, math, writing, reading, ESL, test preparations (ASVAB, TABE, US Citizenship, Nursing School tests, GED, college entrance exams, AP, and more).

Caregiver Support Education Seminars

Free classes for anyone who is interested in caregiver support. Classes usually held on the 2nd Wednesday at noon.

Caregiver Support Group at St. Elizabeth Hospital

Meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of each month from 1 – 2:30 pm. Call for more information and to RSVP.

Catholic Community Services

We serve individuals with limited transportation options due to physical or mental disabilities, have no family or neighbors who can assist them, live outside of public transit service areas and/or cannot afford transportation services. May also serve older adults who are not low income who live in rural areas, who can no longer safely drive, and have not other transportation options. To set up services, contact the program manager through the website, listed under Southwest>Pierce County

Catholic Community Services SSVF Program

We provide case management to develop housing stability plans, address issues such as employment , benefits, financial planning, transportation, and childcare. Rapid rehousing provides short-term assistance.

Catholic Community Services SSVF Program for Veterans

This program serves veteran families experiencing literal homelessness by providing rapid rehousing, case management to address employment, connections to VA, medical benefits, transportation, child care, financial planning and connections to community resources.
